Durant Park  (Location Map) 

Located at 712 W. Franklin Street, Dewey Durant Park is one of our most  popular day parks.  The park features a covered picnic pavilion with kitchen and restrooms, three softball fields, two tennis courts, eight professional horseshoe pits and a "Peace Train" wooden play structure.  The park also has a fishing pond that is popular with visitors and residents alike.







The park is host to men's and women's softball in the summer as well as the Tawas "Summer Sizzler" girls fast pitch softball tournament in June and the "Bill Walsh Memorial Women's Slow Pitch Softball Tournament" the weekend after Labor Day annually.  The park and pavilion are also available for private rental for company picnics, graduation parties, etc.       (Rental Information)

 

 

Bolen Park  (Location Map)   

Robert C. Bolen Memorial Park is located at 750 Newman Street, adjacent to the East Tawas Community Center.  The park features a covered picnic pavilion with kitchen and restrooms, horseshoe pits, a "Mackinac Bridge" play structure, a little league baseball field and a senior league baseball field.  Three outdoor tennis courts are also in the park on the north side of the Community Center.








The park is popular in the summer as a host site of the Tawas Knothole Association who have hosted several district and regional little league and senior league baseball tournaments at the park.  The park is also been the site for the Iosco County Relay for Life program. The pavilion is also available for private rental for graduation parties, company picnics, weddings, etc. (Rental Information)

 

 

Dillon Park  (Location Map)

Tom Dillon Memorial Park is located at 720 Smith Street in East Tawas.  The park features a covered picnic pavilin with restrooms and kitchen, a youth softball field, horseshoe pits and a "Fire Department" themed play structure.  This park is also a host site of the Tawas Knothole Association who have hosted several district and regional little league and senior league softball tournaments at the park.  Tom Dillon Park is also the 10 & Under site for the Tawas "Summer Sizzler" tournament held in June.







With it's quaint neighborhood location, Tom Dillon Park is a popular site for neighborhood gatherings, graduation parties, etc. throughout the summer and is available for private rental.  (Rental Information)

 

 

Day Use Area



The City Park Day Use area is located at the west end of the campground.  The area features a 36' octagonal gazebo, 2 sets of horseshoe pits, a "Mystery Ship" themed play structure, picnic tables and grills for your enjoyment.  The gazebo is also available for private rental.  (Rental Information)

 

 

Harbor Park

Harbor Park is located at the intersection of U.S. 23 and Newman Street in downtown East Tawas.  This park is home to several local festivals annually including "Breezes on the Bay" kite festival, "Blues by the Bay" Blues festival, and "Perchville USA", our annual winter carnival.  The park also hosts many other events including local arts & craft shows and numerous other community events.  If there is something going on in East Tawas, Harbor Park is usually where you will find it.






The park features a large (175' x 280') green area, planted islands, town clock, nautical flag pole, wine and cheese shop, kite shop, children's play structure, fountain and picnic pavilion.  Public restrooms are available during the summer season in the DNR Harbor restroom facility.  The East Tawas State Dock lies at the foot of Harbor Park.  For rental information, contact the park office at 989-362-5562.
